Pinkerton purchaces a fledgling Ohio tobacco company and gives it the family name: The Pinkerton Tobacco Company. Throughout 1887, Pinkerton labors in search of the perfect original tobacco recipe. One experiment stands out above the rest with a richness of flavor and uniquely satisfying taste: the flavor of Red Man is born.
